Cassano On His Way To Milano

“that’s the way to Milan boys!”

AC Milan are set to sign Antonio Cassano from Sampdoria for a fee of half his buy-out clause of €4.2 million. The Italian striker is set to complete his move on the 3rd Januray 2011, as the transfer window has yet to open.

Cassano is mainly known for his short temper on the pitch, which led to him being labelled “Cassanta” by now England coach Fabio Capello back in 2002. He boasts a decent record in Italy with Sampdoria dating back to 2007, scoring 41 goals in 110 appearances.

As Cassano arrives into Milan he’ll soon discover that it will be a ‘battle of the egos’ with Robinho, Ronaldinho & Ibrahimovic all battling it out for starting places.

About Dylan O'Neill

Football mad Irish 20-year-old. Living in Dublin so I've had a keen interest in League of Ireland for the last 2-3 years and used to write about it on offtheupright.blogspot.com, focusing mainly on UCD's limited fortunes as well as the Irish national team. I started to merge this interest with gambling two years ago to moderate success so have continued to do so since! View all posts by Dylan O'Neill
