Eden Hazard – The Potential Replacement For Ryan Giggs

The latest star linked to Manchester United is Lille star Eden Hazard. Today’s newspapers suggested he’s on his way for a reported £20 million. Hazard has been linked constantly to Old Trafford this year. He’s been seen as Giggs’ replacement once he decides to call it a day. Hazard is also a target for Arsenal but I myself would be confused, considering that Wenger mentioned he would not be signing Beckham who plays in a similar position to Hazard.

Hazard has attracted worldwide media attention following his performances for Ligue 1 side Lille. Its even been said that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the Belgium wonder kid. Liverpool are also thought to be interested but I’d doubt Hazard would even consider them, with the Merseyside club fading fast and with the options he has I’m sure he’d choose a club competing for trophies on a regular basis.

So far this season for Lille, Hazard has scored twice and has assisted three times in 18 appearances. Not exactly ‘Messi’ form but it’s been enough to make teams sit up and take notice. He put clubs on red alert earlier this year as he said he wanted to leave Lille at the end of this season and was quoted saying that he wanted to join Arsenal to compete amongst the youngsters.

All I will say is, watch this space! I’ve got a feeling something will definitely happen in the near future.
