Fergie Considers Options For Injury Plagued Owen

Sir Alex Ferguson is willing to listen to offers for injury prone star Michael Owen come the January transfer window about a move away from Manchester. Aston Villa have emerged as favourites and although Fergie has yet to concede that he holds no plans for Owen’s future, it is publicly known that he will not get first team action next term at Old trafford.

Owen arrived at Old Trafford in the summer of 2009 and was a rather controversial signing as he was by far past his prime due to consistent injuries. Owen has scored 12 goals in 39 appearances for the Red Devils but has fallen down the pecking order due to the arrival of Mexican sensation Javier Hernandez, who has been magnificent, even when he doesn’t start.

About Dylan O'Neill

Football mad Irish 20-year-old. Living in Dublin so I've had a keen interest in League of Ireland for the last 2-3 years and used to write about it on offtheupright.blogspot.com, focusing mainly on UCD's limited fortunes as well as the Irish national team. I started to merge this interest with gambling two years ago to moderate success so have continued to do so since! View all posts by Dylan O'Neill
