As I’m sure you’ve heard, a story regarding Coleen Rooney has been doing the rounds. Last May she had misplaced her mobile phone at a Black Eyed Peas concert at the MEN Arena in Manchester and when her frantic calls failed to reclaim her phone, a sting operation was launched.
Anyway to make a long story short, two men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of attempting to sell private photo’s of Wayne and Coleen’s baby, Kai for a five-figure sum to numerous amounts of tabloids. Coleen, who was contacted by the felons was warned unless she forked out in excess of £10,000 the photo’s would be published on the internet. Cue an introduction from the police and the undercover sting operation and bang, the suspects were arrested and quizzed before being bailed and are currently pending further enquiries when they are due back on March 9.
Wayne and Coleen Rooney’s spokesperson Ian Monk released a statement claiming that the couple will be “absolutely furious” and went on to say that
They’re obviously not some set of sleazy pictures. They are treasured family snaps of Kai which the Rooney family want to keep private and noone can blame for that. The fact is he’s a little boy not some commodity for sale for public consumption.
‘No doubt these people thought they could make a fast buck of them for a quick financial fix in the belief the Rooney would well afford it but they obviously didn’t reckon on them speaking to the police.’
Not exactly what Wayne needed considering his form hasn’t been the best of late.
