The big news today circulating the interweb is that Manchester City’s central defender Kolo Toure has been suspended after an A sample provided by the Ivorian defender tested positive for one of the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) ‘specified’ substances.
Its unclear yet how long the suspension will last or what drug he tested positive for but all will come in good time, just you wait and see my darlings.
Toure had been stripped of his captaincy at the start of the season under the guidance of Roberto Mancini (no reason) but the 29-year-old has featured heavily in City’s season so far, making 29 appearances. This will inevitably/more than likely end his season for the Blues.
When I first glanced at the title it read: “Toure Suspended After Failed Drugs Test” and I was astounded. I frantically clicked on the article to find out it was KOLO, NOT YAYA who I had suspected. Let’s be fair, which one of them would seem the likelier to take a ‘specified’ substance? With Yaya’s mind-blowing performances my decision would sway towards Yaya. But it was not to be as Kolo was proven guilty and is now facing a possible suspension of 6+ months.
Oh Kolo, why can’t you be like your brother?
