Champions League Final 2011 Ball Unveiled

Here it is folks. The Official Match Ball for the UEFA Champions League Final Wembley on the 28th of May – the Adidas Finale London. It looks proper whopper so it does. Apparently, the bright orange star links to London being a vibrant, modern city. I’m sorry, you’ve lost me.

It’s also the 16th Champions League final ball to be produced for the UEFA Champions League competition.

The ball will be unveiled by Salomon Kalou of Chelsea FC and Samir Nasri of Arsenal FC ahead of their second legs against FC Copenhagen and Barcelona respectively.

About the ball Nasri said:

The adidas Finale London has a really iconic design and I hope to be able to play with it at the UEFA Champions League Final in May.”

And then Salomon Kalou said:

”Having the UEFA Champions League Final 2011 at Wembley is a huge motivation for the London teams competing in the tournament and it is great that adidas have produced an iconic ball to mark the occasion,”

All in all, it looks like an absolute beast of a ball and I’m definitely looking forward to it being played with on that fateful day, as well as my men progressing to the final hopefully unscathed.
