Football players have taken over twitter. It’s a fact. The day Jack Wilshere, Rio Ferdinand, Robbie Savage, Ryan Babel and Wojciech Szeczney joined twitter, twitter became a hot spot for all the Premier League footballers to share how their day went about via social networking. Ryan Babel got in trouble for doctoring a picture of Howard Webb in a Manchester United jersey and now it looks like Robbie Savage may receive a warning for his crude tweet regarding Luis Suarez’ poor teeth.
Savage, a twitter-addict had been tweeting a fistful before that and he immediately had second thoughts when he sent the tweet out in the public. Floods of comments poured in and Savage soon deleted the tweet, leaving fellow twitterers confused. In the tweet Savage said:
“Suarez has a touch like a donkey oh sorry I meant teeth !!! lol”
Although Savage can’t say much. He looks like a bloody woman with the ridiculous yellow strings that he calls hair hanging from his scalp. (joke no personal hit on Rob i just wouldn’t have my hair like that, mainly because it just starts curling up at the sides.)
Today was also the today I got my first response from a footballer via twitter from none other than the ‘Sav’ himself. He saw my tweet with the pic of him tweeting Suarez had donkey teeth (above) and he responded in typical Savage fashion by saying:
“Yes I did it was funny my teeth are bigger that’s the frightening thing”
Here’s the pic:
Robbie Savage is a legend.
