Ashley Cole Set To Escape Fine After Shooting Incident

Trouble-some Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole is set to escape a police charge after he shot Chelsea work placement student Tom Cowan with a .22 air rifle. As a result, Chelsea claimed they would take “appropriate action”, most likely fining Cole two-weeks wages (£220,000) for his shenanigans and there is likely to be no further action taken on behalf of the Surrey police after reports suggested its ‘highly unlikely’ they will fine Cole:

From the Guardian:

Surrey police visited the Premier League champions’ base at Cobham last week after details of the shooting were exposed by a Sunday newspaper. Neither Cole nor the student wounded in the incident, Tom Cowan, was interviewed but, while inquiries technically remain ongoing, police sources have indicated that no charge is now likely to be brought against the England defender.

For Christ sake’s, he brought a GUN to TRAINING! Is that not normal? Well then..I suppose I’ll go round and shoot my teammates and see what happens.
